Where are we off to next on our family road trip along the Canadian East Coast? Join me for part six, the final post, of our adventure as we travel through Nova Scotia on our way back home to Kingston. In Halifax, we began our visit with a trip to Tony’s Donair for lunch and it was delicious. We then headed to the Citadel and toured the grounds before exploring the vibrant downtown area. Halifax’s charm and liveliness made for a memorable experience. 

We wrapped up our Nova Scotia trip with visits to Peggy’s Cove Lighthouse and Lunenburg. At Peggy’s Cove, we enjoyed walking on the rocks and watching the waves crash against them. It’s no wonder this lighthouse is so iconic—its picturesque beauty is simply stunning. Lunenburg was our final stop, a colourful and welcoming city where we loved strolling through the streets and admiring the bright, bold houses.

As we headed back to Kingston, we made one last noteworthy stop in Quebec City to catch the final night of The Grands Feux Loto-Québec. Standing closer to the music this time, we were once again mesmerized by the fireworks and how well they were synchronized to the music. It was the perfect conclusion to our epic road trip, showcasing some of the most beautiful parts of Canada. As we headed towards home, we made a quick detour to Montreal to Ma Poule Mouillée for one final poutine fix before the end of our trip.

This trip left us with some lasting memories and a deep appreciation for the diverse beauty of Canada.
